We grew up in Vizag, where mornings start early and the sea is the first thing you see. We met as batchmates in college. Somewhere between late-night assignments and exam mornings, coffee became our constant. It was never really about the cup. It was about what came after it.

Ten years later, we’re still friends. We’ve spent those years building products, shipping technology, working with AI, and growing businesses. We’ve been through launches, pitches, deadlines and 2 AM builds. Before every one of them, there was coffee.

As serious coffee lovers, we went deep into specialty coffee, and we noticed a pattern. The industry speaks beautifully about origin, roast and tasting notes. But it keeps asking people to change: learn a new brew method, buy new gear, find the right café, make more time. Real life doesn’t work that way. Nobody was building for the moment the coffee is actually for.

That’s where Sequence began.

Our working lives are spent building things AI will make faster, smarter and cheaper. But there is one thing no model can replace: the quiet minute before something that matters. The first sip before a big meeting. The pause before a long drive. The ritual that tells you that you’re ready.

Some habits don’t need to change.
They need to be honoured.

So we built Sequence around them. It starts with mood-based coffee for how you want to feel: Focus, Flow, Reset, Connect, Energize, Unwind. It comes in formats that fit into your day: drip bags, concentrates and premium instant. And it extends into an ecosystem, from your kitchen to your office to our café, that grows with you.
